US-Rapper Lecrae: „Durch das Opfer von Jesus bin ich mit Gott vereint“

In einem Instagram-Post vom 27. Juli bekennt sich der US-Rapper Lecrae als ehemaliger Atheist zum christlichen Glauben und bringt dabei auch zum Ausdruck, was den christlichen Glauben als Evangelium von einer Gesetzesreligion unterscheidet. Darüber und wie der 39-jährige zum Glauben kam, berichtet aktuell das Magazin jesus.ch.

In dem Post (siehe unten) berichtet Lecrae, dass er atheistisch groß geworden ist und das Institutionelle am Christentum ablehnte. Auch heute würde er sich nicht als religiös bezeichnen, weil seiner Ansicht nach Religion Regeln ins Zentrum stellt, um „mit Gott Recht zu haben“. Im Rahmen seines Posts bringt er zum Ausdruck, dass es ihm vielmehr um die Beziehung zu Gott geht, aus der heraus sich Menschen verändern. Zu dem, was seinen Glauben ausmacht, schreibt er:

„Durch das Opfer von Jesus, der das perfekte Leben führte, bin ich mit Gott vereint. Jesus starb den Tod, den ich verdiente. Ich glaube auch, dass er übernatürlich auferstanden ist und ausserhalb von Zeit und Raum lebt, aber immer bei mir anwesend ist.“

Weiter ermutigt er in seinem Post jeden, der mit Gott hadert, zu einer Beziehung mit Gott.

I’ve been atheist, agnostic, seen the institutionalization of Christianity and wanted to throw it all away. I’ve felt the hatred of people who claim to love God and it discouraged me. I’ve tried to walk away but grace kept me. I just want to encourage anyone out there wrestling, that God knows your situation, He knows your pain, and that your life isn’t perfect but He hasn’t given up on you. It’s all apart of a greater story. We get so focused on our performance but God wants us to remember our position. He will lead..but we have to put forth the effort to follow. It’s a worthwhile journey. Keep pushing, keep wrestling, I’m here with you. Btw love to #chancetherapper you are really good at rhyming words bro! ?

In seinen Rap-Songs lässt Lecrae heute die christliche Botschaft einfließen, um damit andere Menschen zu inspirieren, insbesondere diejenigen, die sich seiner Ansicht nach durch das Streben nach Anerkennung selbst blockieren. Dazu betonte er:

„Die Menschen hungern und dürsten nach etwas. Ich will eine Botschaft verbreiten, die sie herausfordert und inspiriert, ihr Leben zu ändern.“

In seinem aktuellen Post via Instagram ermutigte Lecrae auch seine Follower, im Zweifel an Gott festzuhalten, indem er schrieb:

„Gott kennt deine Situation, er kennt deinen Schmerz und er weiß, dass dein Leben nicht perfekt ist, aber er hat dich nicht aufgegeben.“
